About the designer
Hadrien HACH, born in 1989 in France, is a multidisciplinary artist whose work defies conventional boundaries between art and design.
HACH graduated from the École Nationale d’Architecture de Versailles with a degree in architecture and from the Politecnico di Milano with a degree in product design. In 2014, he joined the architecture department of Louis Vuitton, where he contributed to the design of several boutiques in Asia. Driven by his passion for fine craftsmanship, he worked for the glassmaker Emmanuel Barrois, Maison Pouenat, and the ironworks Dunod Mallier, where he was in charge as the managing director.
Leveraging his expertise in product design and in fine craftsmanship, Hadrien established his own studio in 2024. His studio is dedicated to creating unique sculptural lighting pieces, all crafted in France using a blend of traditional artisanal techniques and innovative methods. From silk crystal to gold, his pieces combine radical design with poetic elegance.

About Silk Crystal
Unsatisfied with the limitations of traditional blown glass, crystal, or fiberglass, Hadrien set out to develop a new material from an unexpected source: a specific silk. Months of research and development were required to push the material beyond its original properties, through a process of experimentation and refinement. Thanks to hours of alchemy, the soft white fabric is transformed into a hard, transparent structure — this is crystallization.
With a thickness of less than one millimeter, Silk Crystal presents a subtly textured surface that evokes the appearance of frozen matter. Despite its extreme lightness, this delicate structure demonstrates remarkable strength: weighing only a few grams, it is capable of supporting a lighting piece exceeding ten kilograms. Neither entirely mineral nor organic, Silk Crystal interacts uniquely with light. Whether illuminated by natural daylight or an electric source, light passes through the material with an almost ethereal quality, revealing depth, texture, and a quietly luminous presence.
Inside the Atelier
Located two hours south of Paris, our atelier brings together artisans driven by a shared passion for craftsmanship, design, and art. The mastery of traditional techniques, such as gold leaf gilding, is pushed to its limits through the creation of subtle gradients, the exploration of transparency and light, and the application of these techniques to deliberately rugged surfaces.
Our team combines ingenuity and precision to shape Silk Crystal. Techniques borrowed from couture guide the cutting of silk according to exact templates, followed by the forming of the material, before reaching the most delicate stage: crystallization. This transformation process alone requires more than twenty-four hours.
Finally, each piece is carefully electrified using high-quality components, certified to meet the standards of its country of destination.
