Born from Silk Crystal innovation and refined French craftsmanship, these sculptures unite radical design and light.

Materials that live with light

Unsatisfied with the limitations of traditional blown glass or crystal, as well as fiberglass, Hadrien developed this new material from a specific industrial silk. Thanks to hours of alchemy, the soft white fabric becomes hard and transparent — this is crystallization. Thinner than one millimeter, Silk Crystal has a textured surface that looks frozen. Natural or electric light passes through it magically.

Gold gilding

Growing up and studying in Versailles, the gilded surfaces of the Château and its Park shaped Hadrien’s imagination, making gold synonymous with light. Over decades, the observation of light reflecting on gold leaf—freshly laid or altered by the elements—across hours and seasons has forged the designer’s visual language.

Favouring the raw beauty found in nature, Hach applies traditional gilding to deliberately rugged surfaces. From nugget to gold leaf, the material appears to come full circle, echoing the purity of gold in its most elemental form.

Katana

"During my first trip to Kyoto, I had the privilege of being initiated into the art of the samurai, both through the practice of the Katana and Zen. The bamboo mat, rolled and soaked in water, is used to replicate the consistency of a human arm or leg. The clean and immediate cut is made possible by the combination of the blade's sharpness, speed, and, most importantly, a perfectly mastered angle of attack.

This beveled cylindrical shape has etched itself into my memory and came back to me during my first sketches of lighting fixtures."

Frozen Shard

"Having lived in South London from 2015 to 2016, Renzo Piano’s Shard left a strong impression on me. The monumental tower was part of my daily route, and became my compass.

Like the Luxor Obelisk or the Pyramids of Giza, the Frozen Shards are topped with gold, bringing a touch of the sacred into contemporary design."

Magma fusion

"Volcanic energy is singular in its intensity. At 1,200 °C, magmatic rock shifts state, moving from a hard, black, inert matter to a glowing red liquid, before returning to solid form. This floor lamp celebrates the Earth’s endless transformation. Rising from a base conceived as a basalt core sample, an incandescent stream of light takes shape."

Arrowslit

"Like many children, I visited castles and played knights. On every trip to the ramparts, I loved peering through the arrow slits, scanning the landscape for imaginary villains.

While designing these wall sconces, my childhood’s sketches get back to my mind. I wanted narrow, elegant indoor sconces. This time, the arrow slits will no longer face outward but inward. With a simple switch, a shower of photons fills the room with light."
